Our service helps to resolve disagreements between parents or young people, local authorities, schools or other providers of education. These disputes are often about the special needs for education and disability (SEND) of children and young people and how best to meet their needs.
Provision of mediation and resolution of disagreements is a statutory requirement for local authorities. It offers an alternative to the hearing of the Tribunal and is both faster and less formal. Mediation allows people to communicate better with each other, and can help to re-establish relationships that have broken down.
